Job Summary
The Residential Door Designer is a key role within the company, responsible for securing sales of new garage doors for residential and commercial customers. In this position, you will play a crucial role in driving our sales targets, managing customer relationships, and expanding our market presence. Your primary responsibilities will include generating leads, conducting product demonstrations, and closing deals with both residential and commercial clients.
This is a mobile role requiring local travel within an assigned territory. A successful Door Designer must be knowledgeable of available products, proficient with measurements, have a keen understanding of how garage doors function, and communicate effectively to customers.
Key Responsibilities
· Serve as the leader of the sales process to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Travel to customers’ homes, establish rapport, discover their needs, and present options for new garage doors and operators.
- Set proper expectations with customers regarding next steps, time frame, and payment terms.
- Respond to prospective phone inquiries.
- Maintain communication with all unsold prospects to close as many sales as possible.
- Create detailed quotes, including digital renderings of proposed doors, and present them to customers.
- Provide job estimates (service, remodels, and installations).
- Verify required materials for residential orders.
- Collect detailed garage measurements and take photos for installer reference.
- Maintain accurate records in CRM by uploading all customer data, log communications, and keep account information updated.
- Work closely with your Manager and Inside Estimator to identify and reach out to potential new clients.
Qualifications and Skills
· Valid driver’s license.
· High school or equivalent.
· At least two years of sales experience.
· Customer service experience.
· Reliable and self-motivated.
· Excellent time management skills.
· Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work after hours, over weekends, and on public holidays with short or no notice.
Compensation & Benefits:
· $60,000.00+ base salary plus commission and sales bonus on sold jobs.
