Job Summary
As an Inventory Control Specialist, you will be responsible for managing inventories for all of Impact Home Services, Precision Garage Door locations. You will oversee inventory by tracking counts, storage, shipments, orders, and conducting audits when necessary. You will work closely with the warehousing and finance teams to maintain efficient business operations by maintaining the flow of inventory across our locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage inventories for all locations
- Work directly with Garage Door Technicians and Installers to manage inventory on company vehicles
- Serve as point of contact for management, warehouse team, and technicians for inventory related inquiries
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of purchases, counts, and shipments
- Monitoring inventory for any discrepancies that may indicate excessive product usage or theft
- Negotiate pricing with vendors to maximize profit
- Perform quality checks on products and discard products that are not up to company standards.
- Reporting inventory statistics to management, and other leaders within the company
Qualifications and Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in an administrative role, preferably in a service-oriented business.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfortable with scheduling software and CRM systems.
- Ability to think critically and resolve issues efficiently.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
Compensation and Benefits:
- The starting pay for this position is $20/hr
