Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Office Administrator to join our garage door business. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent customer service abilities, and a proactive approach to supporting our team. You will play a vital role in managing office operations and ensuring smooth communication between customers and technicians.
Primary Areas of Focus:
In this role, you will be central to our office operations, providing vital support to technicians for successful installations and repairs. You’ll manage schedules, coordinate service calls, and maintain accurate records while interacting with customers daily, requiring a patient and respectful demeanor. Additionally, you’ll assist in training technicians on new products and industry updates. We offer comprehensive training to ensure you’re well-equipped to maintain smooth operations and deliver the highest quality customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist technicians by ensuring they have the necessary tools and information for installations and repairs.
- Serve as the first point of contact for customers, providing friendly and knowledgeable assistance.
- Coordinate and manage technician schedules, including service calls and appointments.
- Maintain accurate records of service calls, customer interactions, and inventory.
- Help train technicians on new products, services, and industry updates.
- Ensure daily office operations run smoothly by maintaining office systems, procedures, and policies.
- Monitor and enhance customer service quality by providing support to office staff.
- Facilitate effective communication between customers, technicians, and management.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in an administrative role, preferably in a service-oriented business.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfortable with scheduling software and CRM systems.
- Ability to think critically and resolve issues efficiently.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
